Over the past two years, the Zentangle HQ team has been passionately working on a new, updated, and embellished edition of the CZT Zentangle Zenthology.

This special CZT only book is the keeper of tangles deconstructed and named by Zentangle HQ. Each student that attends CZT training has always received a Zenthology at the completion of the seminar. As time passes, we continue to modify and update this manuscript.

This latest update was a complete restructuring and enhancement of the original version. We decided we wanted to bring more to these precious pages. It became clear that we should incorporate the structure of using the Zentomology system of studying and classifying tangles. This system has been honed over the years to make sense of the study and relationships of tangles. It is not meant to be exact, but rather to be playful and helpful in describing, deconstructing, and understanding the nature and potential of each tangle. You will find this book divided up into categories of tangles that share common characteristics. Although there are endless ways to categorize our tangles, the ones in the new Zentangle Zenthology were selected with teaching in mind. You will also find select stories about the roots of tangles and how they were discovered and where the name came from.

This book was designed to be customized by you. You will find space for notes and tangle exploration amongst the pages. We encourage you to make it uniquely yours.
